Slow week

Been a slow week at work. So you all get another post! YEAH you!

First let me tell you how the appt went w/Jackass Doctor. He MUST have known I was ready to beat him down with my sharp wit and serious demeanor cause he was the sweetest. Supportive and not a dick. TOTAL difference from last time I saw him, thank god, I was prepared to punch him if I had to.

I also went from serious apnea to severe. I asked the difference. Serious means 'incidents' every hour or more. I have 'incidents' on average every 32 minutes or less. So in reality I haven't hard core slept for more then 30 minutes in over 7 years. I've never been so excited for a machine to be attached to me in my life. I'm gonna strap that thing on and sleep for an entire weekend.

Just to be clear. The top picture yesterday was the sleep test itself. Not what I will have to wear when I get the CPAP thingy. Thank god. That was lots of wires and goo. Icky sticky itchy goo too. (I also think I look like the 'Big Boobie Lady' from The Simpson's Movie)

Now I have a question for you all. I have been trying my hardest to respond to comments via email. Problem is, that it seems most people that comment here do it as a "no-reply email", so I can't send you an email!

I'm going to start replying in comments for a little while and see how that goes. Do you guys really come back and read replies if I do that? That's the question.

I really want to contact those that are sweet and nice enough to come by and comment, and it bums me out when I can't. So looking for options on how to make that part better. Any ideas, or different ways to do it would be appreciated.

Lastly, if you have hot dogs that have been around for a month, throw them away. DO NOT EAT! I ate a few that seemed ok on Tuesday night. Well.... I ended up having to call out of work Wednesday, cause I guess they weren't as 'fresh' as I thought they were. Also could have been the stomach bug that is going around but it just seemed odd that it hit me after the dogs.

This weekend is going to be a busy one. Friday night we have our Costco run. Saturday I have to work (to make up yesterday), Saturday night we are going to a party, and Sunday.. well.. I know we have a ton of stuff to do around the house. Hopefully we'll be putting up our gazebo.

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be back posting again next week. Maybe. If I feel like it. Perhaps.

AND before I go... Check out my favorite Karl in the universe doing You can Leave your Hat On at ConFab 09!

I don't typically go back to check comments and right now since I got hte new computer I have no idea how to check my lilacspecs email. Although I use my blogger account and that has my gmail address to comment on Blogger blogs.
Anyway, enjoy your weekend! We aren't doing much but we're going to hof ten bosse, the reception place here to try the food we'll be having for the Belgian reception. Yum.

I very rarely respond in my comments section, nor do I usually go back and read comments somewhere else after I've left one. Unless I left a comment that might piss someone off. Then I go back to see the fall out ;)

I'm with you though, I would like to send an email back to commenters, but most don't leave an email address. I just assume that means they don't expect me to respond.

And you don't have to respond to this comment :)

Woo hoo! Karl singing!

I used to reply to all comments via email, but I just can't keep up any more. Now I reply to every comment, but I do it inline on my post. People can subscribe to the comments so they know when I respond. That's the best I can do right now.

Pics of you wearing the new machine, please? ;)

I only reply to comments via email, and I posted such on the top of my comment thingie .. I feel bad about not being able to reply to everyone but if I see someone has visited more than 1-2X and doesnt have email option activated I go to their blog to see if they have email somewhere and if not I leave a nice comment saying thanks for the visit, I would have replied sooner but you are a 'no reply' ...

So there.

When I know a blogger replies to comments, then I subscribe to said comment string when I leave a comment, just like I'll be doing now. :)

And? You're going to love that CPAP. It will take a few days' adjustment, but you will sleep and feel sooooo much better!

Who returns to read comments and answers? I often wonder, and I too have begun replying to those who show email adresses. I believe that I do show it.....
Hope you can still enjoy a Costco hot dog as I do!!
Aloha, friend

I admit, I'm a little slow when it comes to comments. I love it when people reply by email because then I don't miss it. I can't seem to remember who replies via comments and who rarely replies, etc. Also I can't seem to remember to check read posts in my reader to see if there are more comments on a post I really liked.

As if that's not enough, I feel like such a sludge in replying to comments at my own blog. I couldn't keep up individual comments via email, then I tried going to replying in comments, and now I just don't know what to do.

I'm such an amateur...

I'll usually click on the "Email follow-up comments to:) option - particularly if I'm interested in the ongoing comments on the post, and subsequent replies. I don't typically like getting direct email to my my comments because it seems to generate to many ongoing replies and continued mailings. As far as responding to comments on my own blog goes, it saves me a chitload of time by replying in my own comments section instead of generating a new email for each and every one of the comments. Short answer.. yes, I'll usually read the alerts to see if a blogger has replied to a comment. :)

You poor thing! The apnea, the sleep test, and then puking? Not fair! Hope that you get a good night's rest once you get the machine. And no more puking for a long time. :)

(I can't get that video from Karl to load and I really want to see it!)

I subscribe to comments so if you reply here, I'll get it in my email.

Maybe the CPAP will help with your overall mental health, too.
